The mobietec roof racks are on a 5th generation of roof racks where there are 3 different types of roof racks produced: • A roof rack with closed sides (RAS1) • A roof rack with open sides - with low or high edges (RAS2L or RAS2H) • A flat roof rack - without raised edges (RAS3) Each type of roof rack can be produced in natural or black anodized aluminum. In addition, numerous options can be added such as a walkway, an integrated ladder and extra crossbars.

A walkway is mounted on a roof rack to walk in safety on the roof rack on top of the car. The mobietec walkway offers not only safety, but also versatility for your roof rack. Designed with a non-slip feature in both directions, our walkway offers confidence while moving on your roof rack. Our walkway is standard 220mm wide, but every 110mm is expandable. These are mounted in the center as standard, but are fully modular and therefore moveable. As a result, the walkway fits your needs perfectly.

The difference between roof racks with open sides and closed sides is in both visual and practical aspects. Roof racks with closed sides are there to give extra reinforcement to the load. In addition, they ensure that the load will not slide. Roof racks with open sides have the same functionalities, but are also ideal for finding cargo between the open edges. Or, for example, to slide ladder with diverse base through them to provide extra reinforcement.

At mobietec, the article numbers of our roof racks are more than just an identification code. They also provide important information about the type of roof rack. Each article number starts with a specific code that indicates which type of roof rack it is. So you can easily and quickly find the right roof rack for your vehicle. Our closed roof rack starts with RAS1, the open roof rack starts with RAS2 and the flat roof rack starts with RAS3. This will vary depending on the chosen options of the products. For example, when we talk about a black anodized closed roof rack, the item number starts with RAB1.

Every mobietec roof rack comes standard with a spoiler and mSlide. There are some exceptions for the spoiler: furniture cabinets and vehicles with an integrated ladder in the roof rack on shorter vehicles. However, the mSlide is always present, regardless of the type of roof rack. In addition, the crossbars are always rubberized for extra grip and safe movement on top of the roof. When transporting materials with your car, you must keep in mind legal limits. It is forbidden to load your car higher than 4 meters or wider than 2.55 meters. If your vehicle itself is 2.6 meters wide, that is the maximum. A load may never protrude from the front of the car, which means it may not extend beyond the front of the car. At the rear, the load may protrude, but no further than 1 meter beyond the end of the car.

In commercial vehicles with a double cab, it is often necessary to remove the interior lining of the roof liner. Please feel free to contact us and we will see if your commercial vehicle qualifies for this.

Whether it's a laptop, smartphone or the plane you travel on, aluminum has sufficiently proven its strength and benefits. This light and strong metal is not prone to corrosion, it is durable and non-toxic. We choose anodized aluminum because of these three reasons:

• Low weight: Steel is strong, but it is also heavy. Anodized aluminum with stainless steel is just as strong, but at the same time is low in weight (about 30-50% lighter). The payload of the vehicle can thus be optimized. Little carrying capacity of the vehicle is lost to the roof rack itself.
• Anti-rust: Aluminum roof racks not only look beautiful, they also stay beautiful. They are not electrostatic and thus do not attract dirt or dust. An internal glass rack or glass carrier is made to be placed inside the vehicle. This offers the advantage of preventing theft of a valuable load. In addition, your equipment is protected from all weather conditions at all times. Fixing poles serve to secure the load on your glass carrier. These ensure the safety of your equipment during transport. Two fixing poles are included by default when you purchase a mobietec glass carrier, but you can choose to purchase more. Using fixing poles is very simple, check it out here.

A glass rack always includes the legal equipment necessary according to the country where the product is delivered. Our external glass carriers are standard delivered with two fixing poles to fix your material with. For an internal glass rack, we start from a basic frame. From there, supports, attachments for fixing poles and fixing poles sticks can be added. You always have the option of ordering additional fixing poles.

An external glass rack has several mounting options. The glass rack can be mounted by drilling through the side, but it is also possible to choose not to drill. With the latter, one uses a mounting to a mobietec roof rack or load carriers. With this option, assembly and disassembly can be done very quickly.

In most vehicles, the ladder is mounted on the right rear door by default so as not to block the license plate. However, on models such as the Ford Transit 2T, Volkswagen Crafter and MAN TGE, it is possible to always mount the ladder on the left side. For other car models, we offer the option to customize the ladder with a cutout for the license plate.

On certain vehicles, it can sometimes be difficult to mount a ladder due to the limited space above the window. Please contact us to discuss your options. Our team will work with you to see if there is a suitable solution for mounting a ladder on your H1 car.

No, a ladder can only be mounted on a car with rear doors. There are two options: a ladder on the rear door, which is pierced, or a ladder on the hinges. Please note that a ladder on hinges is not possible on rear doors that open 270°.

On our website, you can easily submit a service request for any problem. You can also contact your supplier and communicate the serial number to us this way. Standard delivery times from the mobietec factory to the distribution points depend on the location. Within the Benelux, it is 1 week after ordering. Outside of that region, it is 10-14 days.

For a perfect fit of your mobietec roof rack, we need the make and model of your vehicle. If you are unsure about the specific version, please provide the wheelbase, total length, and height of the vehicle. Some vehicles can be prepared in the garage for mounting a roof rack. This information is essential for delivering the correct fittings. Additionally, interior lining on the roof, sidewalls, or rear doors can affect installation time. These details are crucial for an accurate estimate of installation time and any additional requirements. Furthermore, it is important to know if a ladder needs to be mounted on the rear door or hinges, and whether the vehicle has rear windows or hinges that allow the doors to open 270°. For a glass carrier, we need to know if there is already a roof rack on the vehicle, if a roof rack will be provided later for mounting the glass frame, or if no roof rack is desired at all.

A mobietec product is shipped fully finished and ready for installation on the vehicle, usually via external transport. We work with dedicated carriers for each country, ensuring reliable service. Your product leaves the factory within 5 to 7 working days after order confirmation. Once your order is received, it is scheduled for production, and you will receive an order confirmation with the delivery date. The delivery time depends on the destination. For deliveries within the Benelux, the standard term is 1 week after ordering. For destinations outside the Benelux, the term is 10 to 14 days. For special orders or larger quantities, the delivery date will be determined in consultation with the customer.

All mobietec products are developed and manufactured in-house. Our employees handcraft each product entirely according to the customer's specifications.

Absolutely. Since we handcraft each product, we can easily and quickly make adjustments as needed. When a roof rack, glass carrier, mTube, or other product needs to be installed in combination with another brand, we can create custom adapters. We always strive for an appropriate and effective solution, ensuring our product can be installed while respecting products from other brands. Please provide all details and, if possible, some photos with your order. We will take care of the rest.

At mobietec, we typically provide custom-made solutions without additional production time. Do you need a roof rack that's slightly longer or wider? For us, that doesn't mean extra production time. For more substantial modifications that require more discussion between you and us, the delivery time may be slightly longer. Always verify the delivery time with your order for proper planning.

Therefore, we collaborate with ESTL to have our products tested by third parties according to specific guidelines.
