- Heavily soiled surface: Use a special solvent-based cleaner or a non-abrasive polish that is safe for anodized aluminum. Rinse thoroughly after use to remove any residue.
⚠️ Warning: Avoid alkaline cleaning agents (such as products containing ammonia or sodium hydroxide). These can damage the protective coating, cause discoloration, and shorten the material’s lifespan. Instead, use pH-neutral or specially recommended aluminum cleaners to prevent damage.

- Low weight: Steel is strong, but it is also heavy. Anodized aluminum with stainless steel is just as strong, but at the same time is low in weight (about 30-50% lighter). The payload of the vehicle can thus be optimized. Little carrying capacity of the vehicle is lost to the roof rack itself.
- Anti-rust: Aluminum roof racks not only look beautiful, they also stay beautiful. They are not electrostatic and thus do not attract dirt or dust. Also, gaps or flakes never occur where dirt can accumulate. Anodized aluminum is resistant to rain, snow, ice and wind and does not rust. This is in contrast to steel, which does rust over time.
- Environmentally friendly: Thanks to its low weight and aerodynamic design, it reduces fuel consumption and thus CO2 emissions. Anodized aluminum has a very long life and is 100% recyclable. The same applies to black anodized aluminum. Painted or steel roof racks are not recyclable.
