A roof rack is a sturdy system used to transport materials on the roof of your vehicle. Roof racks are often used by professionals such as construction workers or plumbers, but they can just as easily be used for recreational purposes.
In general, roof racks are used to transport larger items (that do not fit inside the vehicle) on the roof, such as:

A roof rack (or imperial) is a complete system mounted on top of the roof of your van. It is the ideal solution for professionals who transport materials intensively every day, such as ladders, beams or pipes.
Load carriers (or single carriers) are a simpler and more budget-friendly solution. Load carriers typically consist of 2 or more crossbars without side rails, mounted on the roof of your van. Perfect for occasional use or transporting one or two items.
